About
Scott Manning is an analyst for a large software company outside of Philadelphia. While software pays the bills, his real passion is history, specifically war. He is currently an undergraduate at American Military University working on a degree in military history. He subscribes to the statement by Malcolm X that says, “History is a people’s memory, and without a memory man is demoted to the lower animals.” Everything that occurred in this world has accumulated to produce our present day. By understanding these events, we can better understand ourselves. Even more so, wars have the greatest impact on people, culture, and nations.* Ultimately, he find all things military to be damn interesting. Scott’s wife, Dawn, is also a student. They both love history, culture, and traveling. She finished her bachelor’s in anthropology in 2009 and she is currently working on a master’s in writing. They have traveled a lot over the years. Scott has visited Guatemala, Thailand, Malaysia, and Nepal, and with Dawn, he has visited China, the Czech Republic, Costa Rica, Austria, and most recently, Mexico. If Scott is not paying the bills or working on his degree, you can find him exploring battlefields, playing poker, or smoking cigars.…
